			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://simpore.com">SiMPore Inc.</a>, a Rochester based start-up and the only commercial manufacturer of pnc-Si membranes in the world, won two business plan competitions over the last week. The company first won the <a href="http://www.htr.org/2008rochesterregionalbusinessplancontest.asp">Rochester Business Plan Competition</a> which carried a $25,000 grand prize and automatic entry into the larger <a href="http://www.rochesterbiz.com/GoldenHorseshoe/">Golden Horseshoe Competition</a> between top new companies from Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, and Waterloo, Ontario. SiMPore also won the larger competition which carried a $100,000 grand prize.</p>
